Miley Cyrus reacts to her father’s comments saying he fears Miley is in danger. Is their relationship ruined?
Billy Ray Cyrus gave GQ a very candid interview about his concerns over daughter Miley‘s troubling recent behavior. He said he’s “scared for her” and blamed Hannah Montana for her problems. But does Miley understand why he said these things or is she angry at her father?
“She isn’t angry at her dad,” says a friend close to the 18-year-old. “She is just very upset that he aired out the family’s dirty laundry to the public. She doesn’t agree with his decision to speak about it so publicly.”
Billy Ray told the magazine Hannah Montana is to blame for the issues going on in the Cyrus household, including a possible divorce between Tish and himself. “The damn show destroyed my family,” he asserts.
This comment particularly frustrated Miley. “She accepts that her parents are in trouble, but would rather not hear it in a magazine and then have to think about it all over again,” explains our source.
Billy Ray went on to say he should have been less of a friend to Miley and more of a father, and also said he worries “she’s in a great deal of danger.” Is he turning into the next Michael Lohan, who complains about Lindsay‘s issues to the press?
“Billy Ray is not like Michael Lohan at all,” reveals our insider. “The family is very emotional and Miley knows her father loves her a lot. They’ll be fine and this article will not ruin Miley and her dad’s relationship.”
It’s great that Miley and her father’s relationship is still in tact, but do you think he should have kept his comments to himself?
