The courts have granted Halle permission to take little Nahla across the country to film her latest flick.
Halle Berry is a working woman once more. The gorgeous actress, 44, emerged from court Feb. 16 all smiles after a judge granted her the right to take her and ex Gabriel Aubry‘s 2½-year-old daughter Nahla to New York City to film the upcoming movie New Year’s Eve.
Halle had withdrawn from the film so she could focus on what had been a nasty custody battle.
TMZ reports that Halle will not take back the role she passed along to fellow actress Katherine Heigl. But she will play a different character. “We are pleased the judge took the time to deal with this very imminent and important issue,” Halle’s lawyer Neal Hersh tells TMZ. “The judge read a great deal of paperwork and gave us time to argue. Halle is very pleased.”
Halle will not jet off to New York until next week. As for Gabriel, he has puled back his custody petition, but continues the dispute by filing a paternity action.
So it looks like Halle may have won the battle — but hasn’t yet won the war.
