It seems like there’s only one designer that can get Barbara to the tents!
On Feb. 13, (day four of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center), we started to see some new faces in the front row — including Barbara Walters! “I don’t go to many shows,” the 81-year-old journalist told us, while sitting in her front row seat waiting for the Diane von Furstenberg fall 2011 show to begin.
The journalist, who underwent heart surgery less than a year ago said she’s “feeling great.” While she doesn’t often go to many shows, there was one in particular she was definitely looking forward to! “I came out because I like Diane van Furstenberg’s clothes and I like Diane van Furstenberg,” she said, when asked about her brief time at the tents.
I wonder what Barbara thought of the new collection — call me crazy, but I’m thinking the more simple sheaths (rather than the colored fur and oversized shades, which also came down the runway) are probably more her style.
