Max’s parents made sure that their divorce wouldn’t affect him too much.

Christina Aguilera and her soon-to-be ex-husband Jordan Bratman kept their cool while working out their divorce and joint custody agreement regarding their 3-year-old son, Max, on Wednesday (Feb. 9). It’s good to see the divorce isn’t getting Max down. The little guy put the pedal to the metal yesterday (Feb. 10) and kept his nanny on her toes as he sped away on his tricycle in Santa Monica, Calif.

Max’s playful spirit is contagious, according to Christina. “He brings out all these elements of play in me,” Christina told about Max. “I’ll sit on the floor and play for hours. We run and laugh and just have fun. Grown-ups forget how to do that in their lives.”

Too bad Max’s mommy wasn’t around for his bike ride. Perhaps she’s hiding out since being bashed for screwing up the lyrics to the national anthem at last Sunday’s Super Bowl in Texas. “I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” she explained. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came true.”
