Kelsey and Camille — after all the public squabbling — are finally rid of one another, for good.
Kelsey and Camille Grammer‘s very public divorce is signed and sealed as of today, and not one day too soon for the Frasier star. That’s because his wedding to Kayte Walsh is just around the corner. Camille, 42, opened up about the split, saying she’s both sad and looking forward to moving on with her.
“I have a great many mixed feelings about today–I’m sad for what was, yet excited about the road ahead,” she said in a statement.
“I’m grateful to my family and friends who have stood by me through this time— I will never forget their love and support. What I most hope is that Kelsey and I can improve our communications and truly co-parent our two wonderful children; and I wish Kelsey and Kayte love and happiness in their new marriage.”
Kelsey was willing to give $30 million while Camille was looking for something closer to $50 million.
He is set to marry his 29-year-old fiance — former flight attendant — Kayte Walsh, later this month in a lavish $100,000 wedding at the New York Plaza Hotel. As Kelsey put it so eloquently to People magazine about getting married before the ink on his divorce papers is dry: “No reason to postpone our happiness any longer.”
