Mark Wahlberg Let His 7-Year-Old Daughter Go On A Date! Wow! Is That Too Soon?

We find it hard to believe that The Fighter star actually let his little girl go to the movies with a boy! Would you? Vote!

During his appearance on The Tonight Show on Monday (Feb. 7), Mark Wahlberg confessed to host Jay Leno that he recently let his 7-year-old daughter, Ella Rae, go out on a date with a boy. That’s one brave little man to risk the wrath of Marky Mark!

Mark admits that parenting isn’t easy

“She gave a boy in her class my cell phone number, he calls me and says, ‘Hey, Mr. Wahlberg, I’m taking your daughter to the movies.’ I’m like what? Seven years old! I say at least seven more years,” says Mark, 39. That little guy has guts! But clearly Mark’s completely wrapped around his daughter’s finger because he eventually caved and let them go see the Disney movie Tangled.

Mark went after Justin Bieber for not calling his daughter

“He’s seven too and I’m like okay, let me talk to your father. So me and the father talk, we take them to the moves, they don’t say a word to each other,” reveals Mark. Aww! Frankly, that sounds better than a lot of first dates I’ve been on!

HollyMoms, would you let your elementary school students go out on supervised dates? Watch Mark relive the date with Leno, below!

THAT does not count as a “date.” When my son was 4, he had a crush on a little girl from our church, and we did the same thing… they sat beside each other in the movie, with me and her mom sitting right there…

It’s cute!!!

Is it too soon? Oh I dunno. If Hollywood life can promote a KID who hangs with Hooters girls as a role model…what the hell.

It sounds like they were just going as friends, I’d hardly call that a “date”, particularly because they’re only seven. What’s wrong with a couple of kids seeing a movie together?
