Brad claims he has found the love of his life on ‘The Bachelor’ this season, but how can this be true when he obviously still loves his ex?

What’s the deal with Bachelor Brad Womack? He just can’t seem to make up his mind about his love life. Laurel Kagay, the woman Brad dated on-and-off for eight years, tells Us Weekly that Brad asked her to marry him just weeks before going on The Bachelor for the second time! On July 16, she says Brad texted her: “Will you marry me?”

And this happened just a few days after Brad visited Laurel’s father to ask for advice on how to win her back. Brad then asked Laurel and her mother to meet him to have a chat.

Laurel and mom Jackie Burke met with Brad on July 28 and listened to him beg for her hand. “He poured out his heart, saying everything he’s worked for has been for me,” Laurel tells the mag. “He doesn’t want to be with anyone else, he wants to have babies with me and start a future. He said, ‘I will marry you right now!'”

Four days later, Brad texted “Roo” (his pet name for Laurel) again, begging: “You’re my future, Roo. Nothing is going to change that. Laurel, I’m serious about this. Please marry me?”

Just a day later, Brad added that Bachelor producers had contacted him again and were offering him big bucks to go back on the show.

Brad ignored Laurel for a bit, but on Aug. 3 he stormed into her spa and demanded to speak with her. Laurel didn’t come out to see him, so Brad texted her, saying, “I damn sure love you. Please don’t give up on us. I want to give you a ring very soon.”

Brad started filming The Bachelor in September, and on Sept. 18, he wrote to Laurel: “Just wish you would let me in your life.” The last time Laurel heard from Brad was on Nov. 2 in an email in which he claimed to be “thinking” of her.

Now Brad is telling the world he found the love of his life on The Bachelor. But Laurel has a message for the winner (rumored to be Chantal O’Brien.) “Before she decides to marry Brad, she needs to know where his head and heart are,” Laurel warns. “I’m sure the girl would want to know that he was proposing to another woman right before he started taping the show.”

WOW! Brad may deny the stories of Laurel’s proposals, but if there’s even the least bit of truth to her claims, then rumored-winner Chantal better rethink her commitment to Brad! (This this isn’t the first time a girl has come forward with Brad’s secrets!)

Do you think Chantal should marry Brad now that this story has surfaced?

Okay, we all know that he chose Emily. Seems to me that Brad was TRYING to get Laurel to commit and even warned her about the show wanting him to go for the Batchelor once again. She ignored him. He gave her several opportunities to accept his marriage “proposal” and she apparently didn’t bite (for probably very good reasons), so who can she be to say that Brad DIDN’T find the love of his life in Emily? If he finally comitted to someone, with his comittment shy background, perhaps it was the real thing. Guys that have candy shops (bars) all around them often wait until later to get serious, when their own internal time clocks remind them that if they don’t want to be old dads, unable to play with their kids, they’d best jump on the marriage/commitment bandwagon and do something about it. Emily is lovely and I think she is very wary. Give them a chance. But Laurel knows him well and if SHE has not commited to HIM, there is good reason, one can assume.

I didn’t watch anything but the first episode. This is nuts, but does not surprise me at all. Guys are freaking JERKS. I think they all have ideas of what they want, but can’t handle not being free once they are tied down. They are not meant to be tamed. Did he seriously think this crap wouldn’t come out?

Very few people know who they are going to be married to in the future. If Brad didn’t get married with Laurel after an 8-year on-and-off relationship, I think he realized that it was time to move on — or at lest try something new. Besides, who wouldn’t turn down world travel and dream dates with the opposite sex AND getting paid….unless they were gay or like Kellie. I’m quite certain she’ll be single the rest of her life. If she is married, my condolences to her husband.
