Miley Cyrus won the award for Best Video at the Virgin Media Music Awards against some tough competition! Do you think she deserved to win?

Miley Cyrus has been making headlines for her “bad girl” behavior, but she’s taking her new “Can’t be Tamed” image all the way to the top! At the Virgin Media Music Awards, Miley won best video for her Can’t be Tamed vid, beating out some serious femme fatales of the industry!

We can’t believe it — Miley’s video won with almost half the votes against Katy Perry’s summer hit California Gurls and Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s controversial Telephone collaboration! Miley took a lot of heat for her “too sexy for 17″ look and acts of teen rebellion, but now that she’s made the switch and  has shed her Hannah Montana image, people are beginning to accept her new sex symbol persona.

Have you accepted Miley’s all grown-up, wildchild image? Watch the videos below and tell us who YOU think deserved to win Virgin’s Best Video Award!

Why is it hard to believe that Miley won? Oh I know why, this site is bias towards Miley and only likes to report bad things and not good. And when it is good news you have to find away to make it bad. Miley is no different than Katy, Beyonce, and GaGa. The only thing that is different is her age, which you emphasized. All of them are artist and when it comes to art, there is no right or wrong. Miley deserve this award because all people talked about was the fact that she was 17. They didn’t care about the creativity of song and video, just Mileys age. If it was GaGa or Katy, people would have loved it. But being that Miley is from Disney and she was 17, people had so much criticsim. Age ain’t nothing but a number. Miley is a wonderful performer and she can breakout of that “good girl Disney image”, if people would allow her to do so and stop bringing her age up everytime she does something. It’s really annoying.

“Can’t Be Tamed” was way out in front as the best video of the year–Miley Cyrus had to pay for its production by herself because her lame record label, Disney’s Hollywood Records, refused to put out the necessary money for it. It just goes to show how lame MTV has become that it was a British media company that recognized what an incredible work of art that video was, while the MTV Music Video Awards didn’t even nominate it. And btw, weren’t a lot of those “bad girl” headlines coming from When is going to realize that there is nothing bad about a young woman playing a role on stage? The only bad thing about that was the evil shabby way HollywoodLife treated Miley Cyrus.
