The Black Eyed Peas took the field in Dallas hoping to wow — do you think they succeeded?

The Black Eyed Peas have become known for their very involved, and incredibly tech savvy, performances. This was on clear display at the Super Bowl Halftime show where the group descended from the sky on ropes before singing a very limited amount of their most popular songs in light up outfits as hundreds of dancers surround them in perfect sync. It all looked so time consuming your forgot about the actual singing!

The actual singing however was a little problematic. Special guest Usher didn’t appear to sing, or even try to sing, at all!

What did you think though HollywoodLifers? Was halftime amazing for you or a total letdown?

The halftime show reminds me of the Beijing 2008 Olympics opening ceremony. It is STOLEN from the Olympics, remember the dancers who wore the LED shirts during the opening ceremony?

It is STOLEN!!!

It was horrible! Fergie looked bloated and sounded like she was giving birth to a linebacker! I would have rather seen Betty White sing show tunes from a giant cup of champagne! So sad that was considered a half time show for the most important game of the year!

I thought that Usher was the best part of the whole performance.

Worse than a let down – it was just plain DULL. I can’t tell you how many times I thought, “Are they almost done, yet? Please.” It was like a nasty fungus that just wouldn’t go away.

Kudos that they actually sang and didn’t lip sync, but it was pretty painful to watch.

Now the light bulb suits were great. I want one for Halloween.
