Lea Michele V. Christina Aguilera -- Who Gave The Better Super Bowl Performance? Watch & Vote!

Both ladies gave phenomenal performances though Christina did forget some of the words to the national anthem! Yikes!

Super Bowl XLV got off to an amazing start in Dallas with two amazing performances from Lea Michele and Christina Aguilera! Lea took on “America the Beautiful” and sounded and looked sensational in a cream colored coat and slacks. Still, her voice is no match for Christina who belted out the national anthem phenomenally, but sang some of the lines incorrectly! Oh no!

Instead of singing, “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming,” Christina made up her own lines: “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last reaming.”

Christina later issued a statement regarding the mishap saying, “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”

I say Louise is right, I have to agree with Louise’s comments,Mick,is wrong and a jerk with his comments!
Louise only said the Truth, Maybe Louise does not write perfect but she say’s the truth! Christina sounded horrible! She made a mess of our National Anthem

in my opinion lea sings really good, but the performance of christina was absolutly AMAZING! she has the BEST voice of all. the both are very talented people.

Not only did Lea sing better but she looked better.

Flub or not it was a bad performance for Christina. It was just a lot of screaming. That is NOT singing. Singers shouldn’t try to get snazzy with the National Anthem. If you can’t do it like Whitney Houston did it years ago, just sing the song. Don’t a your own flare to it. Christina made the song all about her.
Lea gets my vote.

I never heard Lea, however Christina SUCKED!! Who picks these people? This is a serious song,not an audition for American idol! I would rather see a High school kid sing it. It would honor the school and the kid. Couldn’t do any worse!

I will go as far as stating, that Christina Aquilera does not know her American history either, that is the problem with so much immigration they come for the economic advantage but don’t care for the culture and history of the people or the country. This is a perfect example of what is going to become of this country in a few years.

lea was amazing! so beautifully down and so classy. not too over the top like christina and proves even more how talented lea is!!
i love christina but she was all wrong, the lyrics, the outfit and her oversinging.

Disgraceful! There should be a law against butchering and making a mockery of The National Anthem. SING THE DAMN SONG and quit opening it up to your horrible and IDIOTIC interpretation. Both of them stunk but behind her crap Lea Michele has a good voice. Wish the planes had dropped a bomb on Aguilera! DISGRACEFUL!!!

First – Kudos to both women for singing live.

In my opinion, Lea’s performance was better. Her delivery and tone fit well with the song, whereas I think Christina’s delivery was overly showy and detracted from the song. (I know that’s Christina’s typical style but I just didn’t like it for our national anthem.)

Plus – Lea knew the words to her song :-)

Louise, I realize this is only an entertainment site, but my goodness, please employ at least a minimal amount of decorum, taste, spelling, grammar and basic good manners when you post garbage about somebody. I might also add that posting inane and air headed views in all capitals only contributes to everybody’s (correct) perception of you as an absolute idiot. Gotta tell ya I wasn’t impressed by either singer. Christina butchered the national anthem & Lea sang America the Beautiful like it was a show tune. Give me a BREAK! Just sing the songs w/respect and decorum. HOW HARD IS IT?

if it’s so easy, why don’t you go up there and sing it?

Wouldn’t be hard to do a better job of it!

Granted I didn’t like the arrangement but she did well with it. They probably picked that arrangement so that the military could be part of it.
And decorum? She was respectful and poised…
