Leah’s baby, Aliannah is not blind and has started “scooting around on her butt!” This is such an improvement!

Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer, 18, is updating all the fans of the show on her daughter, Ali’s developmental problems, and it sounds like the adorable baby is getting much better! “Ali has had a couple of MRIs,” says Leah to UsWeekly, “but we still don’t know anything yet. She’s making improvements with physical therapy. She is trying to stand up on her own, and we are so proud of her! [One tabloid’s report] said she is legally blind. She’s not.” Yay! We’re so happy to hear that, Leah!

Leah’s daughter could walk after therapy. Exclusive!

Leah went on to say, “And no one has ever said that she was or wasn’t going to walk. She has not been tested for cancer or congenital heart failure.”

“She’s scooting around on her butt now. She’s really improved,” adds Leah’s now-husband, Corey Simms, 20. “Still, it’s hard because we don’t know if she’s going to be limited in the activities she can do in her life.” The teen parents married in their hometown, Clay, West Virginia in October—MTV taped the ceremony and it will air later this season.

Teen Mom 2 recap!

It sounds like the formerly troubled couple have really pulled together for Ali’s sake. Corey praised Leah’s parenting skills in the interview: “She’s good at handling all the pressure, all the stuff with Ali.”

When asked if she’s planning on having more children, Leah, who is now working full-time as a dental assistant replied, “I definitely don’t want any more kids right now. Maybe in 10, 15 years we might have another kid.” That seems like a smart decision, Leah! It sounds like you really have your hands full right now!
