A stranded David Blaine conjured up some magic after his fiancée went into labor during last Wednesday’s (Jan. 26) NYC blizzard!
This kind of thing would only happen to a magician. Illusionist David Blaine and his pregnant — and in labor — fiancée, Alizee Guinochet, had no choice but to hop in a snow plow during New York City’s Jan. 26 blizzard after no cabs or cars would give them a ride to the hospital! HollyMoms, can you imagine?
When French model Alizee, 24, started having contractions in their Village apartment, David, 37, jumped into super-daddy mode and headed out into the heavy storm to hail a cab. Sadly, that was impossible. Due to the 19 inches of snow that fell on NYC’s streets, no one was brave enough to venture out on the treacherous roads. “The doorman and people on the street tried to help him flag down a taxi. But there were absolutely no cars on the road,” a source tells The Post. The insider adds that David also attempted to call multiple car services, begging that his baby was on the way, but no one would come to his rescue.
Finally, a miracle happened when the doorman flagged down a private contractor who whipped around the street corner with his snow plow. He scooped up the magician and his in-labor lady and drove them to the hospital. By night’s end, Alizee had given birth to a healthy baby girl, whose name the couple are keeping a secret. But a rep for the new parents, who confirmed they had to ride to an unnamed Manhattan hospital on a snow plow, says, “Mom and baby are doing fine.” Wow, what a winter adventure!
