Nicole and Keith welcomed their new daughter, Faith Margaret via a gestational carrier and now the actress admits why they kept the entire process a secret.

We are thrilled for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who recently welcomed a new baby girl named Faith Margaret on Dec. 28 via a surrogate at the Women’s Hospital at Centennial in their hometown of Nashville. After weeks of questioning why she kept the pregnancy a secret, the actress lets out the truth.

Kelly Preston carried her son and she’s almost 50!

“We just decided this was our thing together,” Nicole, 43, told Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. “It kind of just perpetuated itself. “[And] it protects her,” she adds, “and it protects everyone in the situation.”
Apparently, Nicole and Keith, 43, not only kept their fans in the dark, but also their friends and family. The actress says keeping Faith a secret was one of the toughest things she had to do and explains, “I wanted to be able to tell everybody because I was so excited about her.” We’re amazed that they managed to keep this so hush-hush. But, we really wish Nicole would have just been honest about her baby plans from the beginning.

Elton John and David Furnish used a surrogate

Faith, who the couple says is their biological child, joins big sister Sunday Rose, 2, and Nicole’s kids with ex Tom Cruise, Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15.

Welcome to the wonderful world of showbiz, little lady! We’re looking forward to watching you grow up.
