Remember Chelsea Staub from Jonas? Now she’s starring in a new web series on Lockerz called The Homes — it’s a must watch!
I’ll be the first one to admit web series confuse me. I’ve never really been one to jump on the idea of mini episodes streamed over the Internet — that is, until I saw Lockerz’ new show, The Homes. Starring the Jonas‘ actress Chelsea Staub (who now goes by Chelsea Kane), The Homes is a series about a girl who gets transplanted against her will from Los Angeles to Middle America and will to do anything to get back to her friends and boyfriend on the West Coast.
I don’t want to give too much away, but the leading lady, Annie, makes friends with the kids next door who have a garage band — and she convinces them to make the trek across the country.
I had the opportunity to meet the cast and director last night over dinner and let me tell you, these actors/musicians are each the next big thing. In order to create this series, they holed up in a music studio for a month last summer, making a song for each of the 12 episodes. After that, they actually traveled across the country together to shoot the series. Not only are they talented, they have great chemistry with one another, which is what makes the series click.
The first episode aired on Lockerz.com Jan. 27, and there are 11 more to follow, each airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. PST. Watch the first episode (it’s only 10 minutes!) above and get excited…you’re not going to want to miss the next 11!
