We’re thrilled to report the hole in Bret’s heart has been repaired!
Bret Michaels has recovered from his surgery and is headed home! The 47-year-old will be with his family after successfully getting through the procedure to repair his patent foramen ovale (PFO), more commonly referred to as a hole in the heart. Surgery took place near Bret’s Scottsdale, Ariz. home at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
“Bret’s procedure had excellent results,” Dr. Mansour Assar said in a press release. “Because of the successful outcome and Bret’s determination, I believe he will be able to return to normal activity within weeks.”
We’re glad Bret is able to head home to his kids and fiancée Kristi Gibson, who will no doubt help with his recovery.
