For years Patricia was trying to get in touch with Oprah to tell her they were sisters, but no one would let her near the media mogul — until now!

Oprah Winfrey finally revealed her family secret: she has a little sister! The 56-year-old larger than life TV show host and philanthropist’s highly anticipated episode aired Jan. 24, and HollyBaby.com watched in pure amazement as Oprah unraveled a tale only the Queen of Talk could tell.

“I thought I’d seen it all, but this my friends is the miracle of all miracle,” says Oprah in front of her family and studio audience. “I was given some news that literally shook me to my core. I’m the one being reunited. Only a handful of people in my life know about this. I’ve been keeping a family secret and you’re going to hear it straight from me.”

Oprah explained that her mother Vernita gave Patricia up for adoption because she couldn’t fully care for the little girl, and she wanted to get off of welfare. Oprah looked straight into the camera, and told her mother who was watching at home, that she could let go of the guilt she carried for leaving her little sister in the hospital.

Patricia tried to reach Oprah for years, through letters to Harpo Studios, having her own pastor send letters, and even showing up at the restaurant of one of Oprah’s niece’s, in hopes of meeting her big sister. Oprah reunited with Patricia, who ironically shares the same name as her deceased sister, on Thanksgiving Day, and has since embraced her and her two children.
