Bret had surgery to repair a hole in his heart yesterday, and his rep tells HL that he’s doing well surrounded by family and friends.
Our prayers remain with Bret Michaels who is recovering from his major Jan. 24 heart surgery. The 47-year-old rocker returned to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, the same location where he was treated for his near devastating brain hemorrahage in April on Monday, and endured yet another procedure.
“Bret underwent a successful heart procedure last night at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix,” his rep tells HollywoodLife.com. “Michaels is currently recuperating at St. Joseph’s where he remains for observation in ICU.”
The Poison frontman told reporters that he wasn’t nervous for the surgery and that he was “very positive [the hospital] will do an amazing job.”
Despite the looming surgery, the recently engaged rocker stopped by the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car auction over the weekend, and sold his 1969 Camaro for $220,000, donating all the proceeds to his longtime charity, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
