Did Robert Pattinson Diss Kristen Stewart — Says 'Water For Elephants' Was A Better Movie For Him!

The actor admits that his upcoming film is a big step for him and that ‘Twilight’ has become just like a ‘normal’ job to him — is he picking Reese over Kristen?

Robert Pattinson has a pretty full schedule of films after he finishes up Twilight — and it seems like he is more excited about them then the one where he met girlfriend Kristen Stewart! Rob told MTV News about his new flick Water for Elephants, “It definitely felt like I was doing a big movie when I was doing it and it felt totally different from doing something within the Twilight world because now it just seems so familiar, the Twilight stuff. It’s just like going to a normal job, doing that.” Ouch!

Rob is currently filming Breaking Dawn with Kristen in Baton Rogue and these comments must hurt the actress, along with the fact that Rob’s costars can’t stop gushing about him! His Water costar Reese Witherspoon said of the actor, “He is extraordinarily attractive. I’m not gonna lie.”

What do you think HollywoodLifers, was Rob’s comment totally fine or should he have been more careful about what he said?

Well, I know you are using this to try and cause trouble and get a story but Kristen said the exact same thing in the Vogue interview and others. She said she was so excited doing the movie On The Road that she hated to ever leave it and go back to filming Twilight Breaking Dawn because it was like going to school since she is so used to it. So I think they BOTH, of course, get excited about new projects since they have been doing Twilight so long, which is completely normal. They have both said thought that it does not mean they don’t do their very best job when they get on the site of Breaking Dawn. So, you see, Kristen said the same thing about her new project versus Breaking Dawn. So guess you need your little “ouch” for both. This has absolutely nothing to do with how either feel about the other personally. They are still actors and still people and still get excited about projects but again, does not mean it has to do with how they feel about each other. We all get bored with work sometimes but does that mean we automatically then are bored with the significant other? That reasoning makes no sense what so ever. Their comments were almost identical so how could either be hurt. AND, what would you like Reese to say? Of course he is attractive and when asked, she commented he was. Would you think it better to say she hated him and thinks he is ugly. I am sure she did think that but what else was she going to say when asked these type of comments. She is in love with someone else and engaged!!??

It’s really disgusting how this site always makes up stories. How is he dissing Kristen and why would she be hurt. It doesn’t make sense.

way to go HL, for knowing how to get hits and comments. This is a bait and switch article obviously, the title has nothing to do with what was said. And I think BOTH Kristen and Robert believe their best “fits” cinematically speaking will be non-twilight movies where they have more room to act. Twilight is a fun, teenaged emo romance, but it’s not exactly the stuff that makes people take them seriously.

What a dumb article! From what he was quoted as saying, I can’t see how a 4 year-old could make that leap. It’s like saying you met your girlfriend at MacDonald’s, but you’d prefer eating at Mastro’s. Who wouldn’t? Twilight is the equivalent of junk food for the brain. Sometimes you just need a Big Mac, but it’s not exactly haute cuisine. If you had to eat Big Macs everyday, not only would you end up in the same shape as Morgan Spurlock, but it get old. Just because a person prefers a certain restaurant ove the one where they met their other half, has nothing to do with their interpersonal relationships! Is this author only concerned about grabbing readers with that headline? Looks as if.

He DIDN’T say it was better than Twilight.
I am sure it was a better choice than some of the other movies he has been offered lately.
He still says to this day he was glad he took on Twilight.
Blown out of porportion for sure.

Totally fine, Bonnie, and you know it.

After the third – film, going into the 4th, if it didn’t feel familiar and like family, then you’d say the chemistry wasn’t there, blah, blah, blah. I too feel bad how he has to be so guarded, but it still doesn’t matter; he’s still gets (purposely) misinterpreted no matter what he says. Cut him some slack.

Twilight Saga is crap. Rob and Kristen knew that but have to finish their contract with Summit. You cannot blame Rob for being excited about his other awardworthy films that are not Twilight

ALL this website does is think what BS to write; so RP starred with RW in this movie and I am sure it was a big step up for him; but he said nothing about Kristen or the TS in a bad way. so go away and leave him alone! No one as smart as Rob would diss a movie series that has made him millions and afforded him to continue his career!

This poor guy can’t say anything without it being manipulated and twisted. I feel sorry for him. Unfortunately he has to do interviews. I think he’s learned though to be very careful what he says. I do miss his openness in his earlier interviews, he was so refreshing and real. But he’s had to tighten up and be guarded just like everyone else….sad.

maybe he made the mistake of actually watching one of the twilight movies, realized it was awful and is now promoting decent movies
