The singer and former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ contestant is seeking treatment for addiction issues according to a source.
Aaron Carter has entered a private rehab facility in Southern California to deal with addiction issues E! reports. A source working with Aaron on his next project told the network, “Aaron, understanding the challenges and hard work it would take to get himself back to the top, requested to take some time before we started to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with. Therefore he has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs that will help him on the music journey he’s about to take.”
This is not Aaron’s first time seeking help for addiction, having actually been on Celeb Rehab 2 in 2006.
Aaron shot to fame with his solo singing career in the late nineties, becoming infamous along the way for dating then rising starlets Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan. He later starred on the reality show House of Carters along with brother Nick of Backstreet Boys fame.
The source notes that Aaron’s decision was entirely his own to seek help and in no way court-mandated.
