Kim — what a great use of your 5.9 million Twitter followers plus the extra millions more who read your blog, to speak out against the insanity of teen pregnancy!
Kim Kardashian — I know you’re responding to reports about how 90 students at a Memphis City school, Frayser High School, are pregnant. While it’s highly unclear whether these girls were suffering from Teen Mom envy or if the school’s lack of sex education was to blame, your sentiments are still smart and appreciated.
Pointing out that teen moms are not young women to idolize and that it’s not trendy to have a baby may well resonate with some troubled young women looking for attention.
Finally, Kim you are using your influence to do some good and not just to promote your reality show or one of the multiple products that you endorse. You never know Kim maybe you are finding your inner Angelina Jolie — this is a good start!
And all you teen girls out there, take it from me, a mom of four, babies are not accessories that you can exchange or return, they are a lifetime of HARD work!

Teen Mom doesn’t glamorize it; every episode shows these girls struggling. Now I hate the show but I understand that MTV is trying to make a statement about the hardships of underage pregnancy. But how effective do you think that message will sound coming out of the mouth of Kim K? She isn’t exactly a role model, seeing how SHE got famous, and I won’t get catty here, but it’s safe to say that any girls who idolize Kim K herself won’t very likely heed her ‘noble’ message of abstinence.
