Although his baby mama Kate Hudson is a parenting pro, this is Matt’s first time becoming a parent — and he’s reading up!
Muse lead singer Matthew Bellamy is eager to become a daddy! He has had some practice with girlfriend Kate Hudson‘s 7-year-old son, Ryder, but the thought of taking care of a newborn made the 32-year-old realize that he has a lot to learn about babies. “He went out and got parenting books, and he’s always coming up with baby-name ideas,” a friend tells Ok! magazine. How much research did you do before your baby’s birth, HollyMoms? Was your husband eager to learn also?

Interestingly enough, the author of the Twilight, Stephenie Meyer was inspired by Muse’s music, which has been featured on all the film soundtracks. Maybe Matt is thinking about naming his baby after one of the lead characters? Bella Bellamy? It has a nice ring to it!
But aside from baby names, Matt is taking care of Kate, 31, and making sure the next few months are stress free. “They’re putting their energy into a healthy and happy nine months for her,” says a friend of Kate’s. Will the couple get engaged this year too? We hope so!

Matt sounds like an awesome guy. Kate is lucky to have someone like him in her life. Maybe he is just what she needed.
It sounds like there will be no shortage of love that will be bestowed upon this baby. Im happy for them all.
