Want a Canadian baby named after you? All you have to so is find Dan and Sara Cannon’s missing Bernese Mountain dog!
Canadian couple Dan and Sara Cannon are so upset at the disappearance of their Bernese Mountain dog Molly Jane that they’ve offered to name their firstborn child after whoever finds her. After fliers and a cash reward yielded no leads to the whereabouts of Molly Jane, they upped the ante by offering naming rights to their baby, who is due in less than three weeks.
“We have said that there’s a possibility that the person who safely returns her will have their name in our child’s birth certificate.” Sara told the Ottawa Sun. The couple say they do not know the sex of the baby but are willing to consider the name of anyone who finds their missing pup. “There are some strange names out there, but Molly’s that important to us so we’ll consider what we have to consider,” Sara said.
Luckily the couple says they will have first refusal rights because a baby girl named Fred or boy named Stephanie is just cruel.
