Violet and Seraphina Affleck now know that not everyone gets followed around by photographers.

Although 5-year-old Violet Affleck simply calls her famous parents Mom and Dad, she is starting to understand that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are pretty well-known in Hollywood. “If someone calls me Jennifer Garner, after they leave she’ll say, ‘They didn’t really know you cause you’re Jennifer Affleck,” Jen tells Conan O’Brien on his show. “She really likes to keep that clear to herself.” It must be difficult for little kids to grasp what it means to have famous parents.

Even Violet’s little sister Seraphina, 2, is slowly figuring out who that it’s not normal to be followed by photographers. “They are starting to understand that everyone doesn’t have paparazzi,” she explains. “They grew up thinking that everyone had teams of strange, hurtful men in front of them, tripping over each other. They’re starting to pick up on that.”

But at least the girls can see that Mommy gets to help out other kids because of her job. Jennifer, 38, is currently working with Frigidaire and Save The Children to raise awareness of poverty in the United States. “Frigidaire.com is starting this kids cooking academy that is donating money to Save The Children every time you check it out,” she explains. “It’s helping you help your kids eat healthier foods.” It’s great to here that Jen is helping out an inspiring organization. Ben, 38, also helps out food banks and poverty by contributing to Feeding America. What an awesome pair of parents little Violet and Seraphina have!
