The brood is reportedly leaving Utah for ‘job opportunities.’ But are they really just evading the law?

Kody Brown and his modest family of four wives and 19 children are leaving Utah for Nevada in a few days amidst investigation of bigamy!

Although sources close to the family tell TMZ the clan wants to “explore new job opportunities,” it’s also convenient that the law allows a man to live with multiple unlicensed wives in Nevada, an advantage not afforded in Utah. This should put Kody and his wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn at ease, especially considering that he was tied up in a federal investigation of bigamy when the TLC show Sister Wives brought them instant infamy. Though Kody never faced charges, we’re sure Nevada’s loose laws were definitely a draw.

We’re glad the Brown family is headed to somewhere where they won’t face as much scrutiny for their lifestyle — but we still think it’s super weird!
