The brilliant Brit served Hollywood royalty a sip of reality with edge of your seat humor, and because a few people can’t handle a joke, the show is going to lose what made it so great in the first place!
Audiences were split over Ricky Gervais controversial hosting gig Jan. 16 at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards. Those with a sense of humor loved it, while those without a sense of humor blasted him, leading the 49-year-old comedian to say he’s taken his final bows with the Golden Globes.
When asked by INFDaily.com if he’d return if asked, Ricky said confidently, “Not gonna do it again anyways.”
He added, “I think twice is enough!”
Surely you can’t mean that, Ricky! The people loved you! You added elements of surprise and fun – don’t let people who hate a good time ruin it for everyone else. Plus, I am a firm believer that three is a charm and an eternity is even better, which means you have to come back for more. You’re what made the 2011 Golden Globe Awards worth watching. Don’t let the critics bring you down!

Robert Pattison thought he was funny and told him so after the show, but Rob has a sarcastic sense of homour himself, and did not take anything personally, not just because he is a fellow Brit, but because is just got it, and was nice enough, as always, to let Ricky know.
