Ashton reveals how Demi handles his intimate scenes with his beautiful costar

It’s no secret that stars often find it difficult to maintain a healthy and successful marriage in Hollywood, especially when both spouses are celebrities. But Ashton Kutcher says that his marriage with Demi Moore is stronger because they are both actors, not despite it. He also talked about how Facebook and Twitter accelerate relationships and was there to capture his commentary at the No Strings Attached LA premiere last night.

When asked if he has to bring home flowers for his wife on the days he filmed sex scenes with his gorgeous costar Natalie Portman, Ashton flashed a huge smile and laughed. “No, the beauty of my relationship is that we are both actors so we both understand what we have to do at work and what that entails so — it’s a good thing being married to an actress!”

The actor, 32, walked his wife down the red carpet at the film’s premiere yesterday before greeting his fans. His fans surrounded the Regency Village Theater, shouting his name and cheering when he instantly walked over, shaking hands and signing autographs before returning to the press line with a giant smile on his face. “I think the moral of the story is don’t be afraid to take a chance,” he said of the flick, which centers around two best friends who try to be friends with benefits.

“I’m not by any means a relationship guru but I think this movie really takes into account the way people are connecting. It’s interesting because it used to be that you’d go on a date with someone and you’d maybe found out a little about their family, their friends, and what they do for a living. And now after that date or even before that date you become friends on Facebook and all of a sudden you know all their friends, their family, what they did last Christmas, what they ate yesterday […] Relationships are just being accelerated by this stuff and people are saying things in emails back and forth with each other that they’d never have the courage to say in person. I think the same way relationship are accelerating I think the sexual parts of relationships are accelerating.”

And how did he feel about working with the talented Natalie, up for multiple award nominations this year? “She’s the best!” Ashton proclaimed. Then he clarified: “I mean she’s the best of my generation. And to have the opportunity to just go toe-to-toe with her on a day-to-day basis and try to keep up… it was a great challenge.”

Natalie herself walked most of the red carpet, positively beaming the entire time with her pregnant glow surrounding her. She had her thoughts on whether friends with benefits can actually work. “I think there’s enough different kinds of people in this world that some people can make that work … probably not most.”
