Usually when I’m looking at pictures after a huge red carpet event I find myself lusting over a glam Marchesa gown or edgy Proenza Schouler dress, and it isn’t often that a frock comes down the red carpet that I can buy without feeling a major dent in my bank account and suffering buyers remorse. That being said, it’s always refreshing when a star turns up wearing something totally attainable — like Lauren Conrad did for Covergirl’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on Jan. 5!
Clad in a sexy yet chic silk wrap dress, the star looked perfectly put together — and the best part is, you can score the Urban Outfitters Quail Silk Wrap Dress for only $99! Lauren gave the cream dress an edgy vibe, pairing it with the sexy Jimmy Choo ‘Ember’ sandals and a Dana Rebecca Designs bracelet — I love how she didn’t over do it with the accessories.
Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing great runway get-ups on my favorite a-listers, but I also love when they switch it up and throw on something they had in their closet. I would definitely be bored if everything on the red carpet was Topshop and Urban Outfitters, but I really enjoy seeing the get-ups when they do make an appearance! Don’t you agree?
