We all know that many a starlet in Hollywood as well as quite a few fashionistas have a lot of Jimmy Choo accessories in their closets. Well, the company is now preparing to take over the vanity tables of its accessory-loving fans with the launch of its first fragrance. The ads? Well, let’s just say co-founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon is showing some serious skin in them! Check it out!
On January 15th, the long-awaited scent will launch at Saks Fifth Avenue. According to WWD, the fragrance, developed by Olivier Polge of International Flavors & Fragrances, took three years to develop and is evidently the first of three planned for the luxury lifestyle brand.
The fragrance is pure luxury defined. The bottle is inspired by Murano glass and the box bears the snakeskin pattern that’s become synonymous with the brand’s expensive accessories. The scent sounds like heaven: a fruity scent that contains lush green top notes and some other gorgeous, sexy notes such as exotic tiger orchid, sweet toffee and Indonesian patchouli.
Judging from the ads, which were shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, it’s a very sensual fragrance for the Jimmy Choo. Tamara Mellon has been quoted as saying, “Fragrance is such an important accessory for women — I think it will have a very broad reach. Our customer is every woman.”
For me, it’s the perfect marriage of my two favorite passions: shoes and beauty products. I mean, how can you lose with such a combination?
