David checked in to the Betty Ford Center over the holiday weekend to seek treatment for alcohol and other issues.
David Arquette, recently separated from wife Courteney Cox, has checked himself into rehab. TMZ reports, “Arquette partied at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel on New Year’s Eve before checking into a live-in facility.” As for his reasons, a source close to the actor told the site it was, “the right thing to do for his family.” His wife Courtney Cox released a statement saying, “I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life. I love and support him.”
In one outing on Dec. 7, Radar Online reports that David holed himself up at strip club Skins, dropping $2,000 on dancers — and putting his hands all over them!
David and wife Courteney announced they had split last October, and since then David has shown some seemingly erratic behavior. The morning after the split was announced he called in to Howard Stern’s radio show and candidly spoke about the couple’s sex life — much to Courteney’s chagrin.
David is seeking treatment for alcohol and other issues but not drugs it is being reported. David and Courteney have a six-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette.
