Diddy says in his new song that he’s “coming home,” and now he’s been spotted spending the holidays in St. Barts with his baby mama, Kim Porter, and their three kids— so do you think he and Kim will finally get married?
“What if the twins ask why I ain’t marry their mom (why, damn!). How do I respond?” So go the lyrics of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ new hit song, “Coming Home.” Diddy has never been married, but he’s the biological father of five children and the stepfather of a sixth (his longtime girlfriend, Kim Porter‘s son, Quincy). Is his latest trip to the islands a sign of a marriage to come?
The back story with Diddy and Kim is complicated: Diddy’s oldest child is Justin Combs, 17, from his relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Misa Hylton-Brim. He has three kids with Kim, 12-year-old Christian and 4-year-old girl twins. He also has a daughter, Chance, from a brief relationship with Sarah Chapman in 2007. Sound complicated? It is!
Diddy appeared on The View recently and Barbara Walters totally grilled him about not getting married: “You have, that we know about, three women who you were obviously close to because you have six children,” she said. “That’s a lot of kids. What’s the trouble?” A clearly uncomfortable Diddy responded, “Why I’m not married yet, I don’t have the exact reason. My father was killed when I was 3 years old — I never got a chance to see the way a family lives, but I’m not making an excuse.”
The one constant in his life has seemed to be Kim. They were together, had a baby (Christian), then broke up when he started dating J.Lo. Then they got back together, had the twins, and then broke up again in 2007 — allegedly over his infidelities. Now they’re together again. It sounds crazy, but can you really blame Kim? Who wouldn’t want to give it another go with the father of her three kids? And now Diddy is announcing to the world that he’s “coming home.”
Today, Diddy also tweeted the Christmas video below that his son Justin shot of his little twin sisters, Jesse and D’Lila. Is this another clue that they’re finally all living together as a family?
