Is Jennifer Aniston's Perfume a Stinker? Sources Say Sales Are Down!

Are sales of the signature fragrance from everyone’s favorite Friend not smelling so sweet?

Jennifer Aniston’s having a bit of a rough time lately. With actor Rupert Everett taking her to task over her “tasteless” career recently, her life’s hardly a bed of roses. Here’s another less-than-rosy picture that’s plaguing the actress: sales of Aniston’s perfume are reportedly down in the UK. Want more dish on her fragrance folly? Read on, beauty fans!

According to E! Online, sales for Aniston’s signature scent, originally called “Lolavie” but released simply as “Jennifer Aniston,” are down since the fragrance’s launch in London this past summer. The cause? Reportedly Aniston hasn’t done much to support sales of the fragrance.

A rep for the actress vigorously denies the rumor, stating “It’s absolutely not true…The fragrance was launched specifically for [London’s famed department store] Harrods and Jennifer went there personally to launch it and to do press.”

Aniston’s rep goes on to defend the star, saying, “”The launch was one of Harrods’ most successful with the fragrance selling out that day… The U.S. launch of the fragrance will happen sometime this coming year and Jennifer will be actively promoting the launch here in the U.S.”

I hate to interject here, but is one visit to promote the launch of a fragrance on another continent really all you can do to promote a fragrance bearing your own name? Katy Perry was on BOTH continents promoting her fragrance this fall.

Oh well, time will tell moving into the stateside launch of Aniston’s fragrance. Hopefully the US launch will smell sweeter for the busy actress and retailers, as it appears UK sales kind of, well, stink.

Will YOU buy Jennifer Aniston’s fragrance when it hits stores in the US this year? Vote now!

By the way, Huvane, saying the launch was “successful” because it sold out “that day” is nonsense. How many bottles did they have in the store THAT DAY? And what happened to sales AFTER that day? Success is NOT defined by what happens ONE DAY, A$$wipe. Keep trying to spin “success” out of the OLD CRONE’s multiple failures. Maybe ONE fat fan will believe it. LOL!

She’s the biggest money-grubbing pig in Hollywood. She would strip naked and walk down Sunset Blvd. if someone paid her $10.00 to do it. Oh wait, I think she’s done that already. Granny Aniston can’t sell anything without stripping first. I see getting naked to sell her stinky perfume didn’t exzactly get anyone’s attention in stores, now did it? Give it up, Grandma. Your time has passed.

She cares nothing about the fragrance, just as she doesn’t care bout anyone or anything except money. She signed an endorsement deal and got paid an upfront fee (probably in the $350,000 range) as an advance against sales royalties. She won’t see snother dimne, because they won’t recoup her advance for years. She will make ONE appearance in the states (NY or LA) IF they pay all travel expenses for her and Huvane (her 24-hour-a-day-hand-holder). While this empty, selfish, souless creature is looking for the next way to make a buck, Jolie and Pitt just left Missouri, where they toured a pediatric cancer unit. They (along with Pitt’s siblings) donated ONE MILLION $ to the hospital and had the pediatric unit named in honor of their mother. THAT’s what people who are rich and CARE about something OTHER THAN THEMSELVES do. Is it any wonder that Pitt couldn’t ran from a self-obsessed, USELESS shrew like Aniston? She spends every waking moment thinking of no one but herself.

She was trying to make her perfume exclusive. The thing she forgets is she does not have a big international fan base. So the European women there are not buying it. And neither are her American Fans.. have you heard anyone talking about her perfume. Why are her fans not talking about it. Plus the whole name change thing just made it look like she really had nothing to do with it. I mean how do you not know that there is another fragrance on the market with the same name IF YOU DID ANY RESEARCH or Google.

Anyway if you did any Christmas shopping I’m sure you saw that most Celebrity fragrances were practically being given away. Everyone has one. Nothing special. Just like that water she was selling. Nothing special. I saw it at a store 10 for $10.00 YEAH..

@diane.. she thinks she is a bigger name over the world then she actually is. FACT

Bad promotion picture to sell a perfume to women. We don’t need nor want to see your crotch, maybe that’s the problem.

I honestly don’t understand why she chose to launch her fragrance exclusively in London. What about her US fans? You can’t even purchase it on the Harrod’s website because they are unable to ship it overseas. She is an American actress and it would have been more appropriate for her to launch her fragrance here. I feel this was a snub to many of her fans.
