Madonna's BFF, Rupert Everett, Bashes Jennifer Aniston's Career

Rupert Everett isn’t looking to work with Jennifer Aniston anytime soon. The Queen of Pop’s BFF got as a catty as they come in a recent interview with BBC Radio, harshly criticizing America’s sweetheart’s career!

Tinsel Town is a lot like high school when it comes to picking the queen bee and the popular crowd that surrounds her. Since her big break in 1994 when Friends premiered on NBC, 41-year-old Jennifer Aniston has held court among Hollywood’s A-list even with a pile of box office flops in tow. Hollywood has a way of turning a blind eye to floundering career choices, but 51-year-old Rupert Everett is not keeping his mouth shut on what he feels is an injustice to the entertainment industry.

“If you look and analyze the careers of many, many stars, you’ll find that they’re mostly sustained by the business,” Rupert said. “You’ll find there’s lots of women and lots of men in the business that the powers that be decide are right for their business, and they’ll stand with them for quite a long time.”

He specifically called out Jennifer as a prime example of an actress sustaining a film career with bubble gum projects.

“Jennifer Aniston will have one too many total flops, but she’s still a member of that club,” Rupert said. “Like a star forming in the universe, things will swirl around her and it will suddenly solidify into another vital tasteless rom-com, a little glitter next to the Crab Nebula.”

I dont care what other people say or think a bout Jennifer I like her movies and I will keep watching her movies. It just doesn’t matter if her movies flop at the box office(her movies make the most ROI (return on investment incase you dont know) her movies make budget on the domestic market people like watching her movies therefore they will still hire her so long as it makes money on the domestic market. She is not the only one who acts in these movies, she is not the writter of this movies, why bash her all the time?

I have to admit, I don’t find her compelling in any of her movies, really. I struggle to believe she is the character, and not someone trying to act the character.

I agree with him. He’s not playing the game of sucking up to the minivan majority and giving his opinion. He’s an accomplished actor and recently recived good reviews for co-staring in Broadway play with Angela Landsbury. You can make the same observation about the music industry churning out poptarts to no end. Some cant even sing live or dance well so they need digital backup for their voice and a line of backup dancers around them. Many genuinely talented singers dont achieve commercial success.

I hate to burst your bubble but The Queen is not his best friend. They had a falling out a long time ago and he tore into her the way he is tearing into Jennifer Aniston now. It sounds to me like just another bitchy gay man who is unhappy with himself and has to put other people down to make himself feel better.

Jesus, who does Rupert think he is? Why should we take his comments with more than a grain of salt? After all, I don’t see that he’s all that great of an actor either.

I certainly don’t think that Jennifer Aniston is a great actress, but if she sells enough tickets to make the studios happy then they’ll keep casting her. She’s never claimed to be Meryl Streep, she’s just an actress that a lot of people like to watch in movies.

Rupert comes across as a bitter actor that thinks he’s a lot better than he really is. Good career move, Rupert…attack the Hollywood studio system, that’s sure to get you more parts. Oh…that probably wasn’t going to happen anyway, since you recently had that horrendous plastic surgery.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Taking a look at her filmography I didn’t see a lot of flops. I did see a lot of romantic comedies, but who care? She’s not the first actress to establish her careeer in that niche (Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Melanie Griffith). I enjoy watching her, and casting her is one way to make sure you get the money for my ticket.

In the mean time what has sir Everett done lately? A couple voice overs for Shrek and Narnia? Stardust? Or hey!!! How many remember Prette A Porter?

So Everett Doesn’t care to work with Anniston. I’m pretty sure the feeling’s mutual.

..Angelina’s films either get awarded nominations, or they do well at the box office….so she’s ALWAYS contributing something as an ARTIST and an ENTERTAINER….but jens work is just either FLAT, or repetative! PLEEEEASE stop green-lighting this womans movies and send her back to tv where she belongs!
