Chelsea is more focused on her career than becoming a mom right now, but her husband Marc is ready to start a family. Will the newlyweds come to an agreement?
It seems that Chelsea Clinton‘s desire to give her parents, Bill and Hillary Clinton, a grandchild has diminished. Now that her father is in better health after battling bypass surgery complications, Chelsea has decided that her career is more important to her right now than starting a family. But her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, disagrees — he’s ready for a baby ASAP!
“Chelsea is still settling into marriage, and she wants to continue working on her career in health management,” a source close to the couple tells the National Enquirer. “She insists that she has no intention of going ‘the barefoot and pregnant homemaker route,’ as she calls it for at least another year.” And with Bill doing so well, Chelsea, 30, realizes she can slow down and focus on herself for a little while longer. “Bill looked frail at Chelsea and Marc’s wedding but these days he seems OK and Chelsea doesn’t think there is a rush for her to conceive,” the insider says.
The newlyweds married in a lavish wedding on July 31, but it seems like that happy occasion is being overshadowed by the baby war going on in the Mezvinsky household. The couple were apparently discussing the issue recently when their conversation turned into more of a brawl! “Chelsea walked away from Marc and slammed their bedroom door so hard it rattled the entire apartment,” the source says. “It was a while before she came out, and they were able to make up. But it’s left Marc feeling blue. He’s told pals that he’s extremely dissapointed. He says Chelsea repeatedly tells him, ‘I’m only 30! We have plenty of time to have children!'”
Friends say Marc can’t hide his disappointment and that “he’s so ready to be a dad.” Have you ever had this baby battle erupt in your household, Hollymoms?
