Ryan cited irreconcilable differences and Scarlett filed her response at the same time…now it’s just a matter of time before the divorce is official
We can’t imagine this is going to be a super uplifting holiday season for Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson. The married pair reportedly split Dec. 14 and officially filed for divorce Dec. 23 citing irreconcilable differences.
Although there’s been no confirmation as to what really initiated the divorce, we reported that Ryan, 34, and Scarlett, 26, have been living apart, and that their split was amicable.
A source told Us Weekly that Scarlett initiated the separation. “The big problem with their relationship is the distance,” the source said. “They spent a lot of time apart when they are working. … She’s been unhappy for a while.”
Hopefully, both Ryan and Scarlett aren’t TOO sad over the holidays, perhaps they’re relieved to be done.
