Happy Birthday, Ricky Martin! You're 39 Today, December 24!

Hit singer Ricky Martin is celebrating his birthday today, on Christmas Eve! We hope it’s a great one!

Happy birthday Ricky Martin! This Puerto Rican pop singer has made the world sing along to his catchy tunes – who could ever forget ‘Livin’ la Vida Loca’?! Ricky recently released his autobiography, Me, in November, and it has become a New York Times Bestseller. He keeps himself busy with his charity foundation, called the Ricky Martin Foundation, in which he focuses mainly on trying to eliminate child trafficking through the project People for Children. He has also worked on several other projects, including the Tsunami Relief Fund and Life for the Katrina Children Relief Fund.

In August 2008, Ricky became the father of twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, through the use of a surrogate mother. This is one man who doesn’t take being a father for granted and who truly loves the job! In December 2008, he told People magazine: “I don’t have a nanny. I’m doing this on my own because I don’t want to miss a moment. I have a personal assistant who helps me, someone who takes care of me while I’m taking care of them, but I’m the one who changes the diapers, the one that feeds them, the one that bathes them, the one that puts them to sleep.”

In 2011, we can expect a new album from Ricky, and his new bilingual album will also be coming out. And we might even be seeing him adopt some more little ones!
