'Sarah Palin's Alaska:' Will Sarah Get $1 Million Dollars Per Episode For Season Two?

Mama Grizzly is reportedly seeking a huge payday for renewal of her TLC show.

TLC’s ratings smash Sarah Palin’s Alaska is up for a second season renewal — and sources close to Sarah Palin say she’s aiming for a huge raise to keep the cameras rolling. According to PopEater.com’s Naughty But Nice Rob, TLC is eager to lock the 46-year-old political figure down for a second season. The show has been a huge success, debuting with 4.96 million viewers and maintaining high ratings ever since.

Sources tell the site that Sarah is using her show’s success as leverage, with one insider adding that “it would not be impossible for her to get $1 million an episode for a second season.”

The show has lifted the curtain behind one of the most controversial families in America, following Sarah and her brood as they engage in what they consider to be ‘typical’ Alaskan activities. Some of these include:

  1. Inspiring Kate Gosselin to have a shocking breakdown in front of her own children.
  2. Dropping more than $42,000 on a family hunting trip.
  3. Hunting caribou with seemingly no regard for common gun handling practices.
  4. Attacking First Lady Michelle Obama for her childhood anti-obesity efforts.

We’re sure TLC would love to lock down Sarah for more antics, and that Sarah would love the coverage to promote any political campaigns she may launch in the future. It’s just too bad the cameras won’t be rolling during the sure-to-be-aggressive negotiations.

Now THAT we’d love to see!

Some of these posters are so ignorant. Blindly ignorant is a nicer description of these Sarah Palin fans. They post that Todd supports his family with fishing??? Nobody can support a family of seven on two weeks of fishing each year. He doesn’t have a job; Sarah doesn’t have a job;’ but there are fans who believe that Sarah has come to save the country and she is picking their pocket books. If Sarah wasn’t such a phony, she wouldn’t have a staff of ten just to comment on the boards and for the media about all the great (fabricated) things she does. What a good shot–did you actually see a picture of Sarah shooting the clay pigeon or the caribou–or did you see two pictures–the magic of photography. Do you actually believe that Sarah rountinely does these activities with her children? Every episode, the kids comment that they have never done this before…. Sarah is just giving her kids an experience that someone else is paying for. Do you think that Sarah would actually pay $141.00 per pound for the caribou meat? Do you actually believe Sarah when she makes over twenty thousand for 2010 and she states: We need to catch a fish so we will have some food for the table. or We hunt so we can eat. Sarah lives just a few miles from a grocery store and regularly buys prepared food from the local restaurants and puts them in her own dishes to warm up for the media. Do you really believe that Sarah will continue to live in Alaska–she is just making millions on her Alaska show and then she will move the family to California or Arizona because she will get more money and more media attention if she lives closer to the media centers.

I will clarify. Sarah’s show was the highest rated show on TLC last week. 2.56 million is nothing to brag about. I hope TLC goes bankrupt.

Trisha is correct. The ratings have been falling steadily. This is no smash hit. 2.56 million this past Sunday. TLC need 3 million viewers to break even.

Boycott TLC!!!! Free the Gosselin 8!!!!

Maintained high ratings? Bull. It had less than 5 million viewers for the first episode and viewers have dropped by millions each week. SpongeBob Square Pants beats her by millions every week. Come on…report the facts.

I love the show, love Alaska.I see a normal family interacting.I love all the adventures she gets to do.Tod seem a very nice gentleman, and Sara seem to do a lot to help him in his business of fishing.

Forget Sarah Palin acting normal(or a reasonable facsimile),no family with cameras following them is acting normal. No reality show wants them to act “normal.”

This story is false. I follow her assistant on Twitter and she said it is totally fabricated.
Stop making things up!

Why anyone watches Palin Alaska show is beyond me. The little bit I watch I found phony and set up. It is apparent that neither Sarah or her family have ever done many of this things. It is really laughable.

You are laughable. You don’t even know what you’re talking about. If you did, perhaps you would have left an example.

Actually it’s quite obvious that Sarah and family DO the things shown on the show. If you’d take the time to watch an episode you’d see that for yourself. Shoot a gun? She hits the bullseye every time. Ride ATV’s? She’s a pro. Fish? They’ve earned a living doing that for years. You don’t have to agree with her politics to acknowledge her family interactions and activities are genuine.
