Mama Grizzly is reportedly seeking a huge payday for renewal of her TLC show.

TLC’s ratings smash Sarah Palin’s Alaska is up for a second season renewal — and sources close to Sarah Palin say she’s aiming for a huge raise to keep the cameras rolling. According to PopEater.com’s Naughty But Nice Rob, TLC is eager to lock the 46-year-old political figure down for a second season. The show has been a huge success, debuting with 4.96 million viewers and maintaining high ratings ever since.

Sources tell the site that Sarah is using her show’s success as leverage, with one insider adding that “it would not be impossible for her to get $1 million an episode for a second season.”

The show has lifted the curtain behind one of the most controversial families in America, following Sarah and her brood as they engage in what they consider to be ‘typical’ Alaskan activities. Some of these include:

  1. Inspiring Kate Gosselin to have a shocking breakdown in front of her own children.
  2. Dropping more than $42,000 on a family hunting trip.
  3. Hunting caribou with seemingly no regard for common gun handling practices.
  4. Attacking First Lady Michelle Obama for her childhood anti-obesity efforts.

We’re sure TLC would love to lock down Sarah for more antics, and that Sarah would love the coverage to promote any political campaigns she may launch in the future. It’s just too bad the cameras won’t be rolling during the sure-to-be-aggressive negotiations.

Now THAT we’d love to see!
