SplashNews.comGwyneth may be an Academy Award-winning actress but her kids have never seen any of her movies — they think she’s a musician!

Between her appearance on Glee and her role as a country crooner in the movie Country Strong, it isn’t surprising that Gwyneth Paltrow‘s children — Apple, 6, and Moses, 4 — think she’s a singer! Although their dad, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, is the real musician in the family the kids have no idea that their mom is a well-known actress!

Moses wants to marry Faith Hill’s daughter!

“My kids have never seen me in anything. They don’t know what I do,” Gwyneth, 38, tells UK newspaper The Sun. “I mean, they know I work but they think I do singing, which is hilarious. They probably saw me for a year practicing my guitar and singing and they think that’s my job.”

As a young girl Gwyneth, whose parents are actress Blythe Danner and the late Bruce Paltrow (who was a director and producer), was always into putting on a show, “memorizing her mother’s lines in her plays” at the age of 1. But it seems like her children won’t follow in her footsteps. Now that she lives in London and far away from Hollywood, Apple and Moses have not developed that same desire to perform — and she doesn’t plan on telling them what to do!  “My kids are really good people,” she says. “They’ve come out like that and I just don’t want to mess them up along the way. They’re great. I think if you can get your kids just to believe in themselves, I guess it will depend on what they want to do and what they want to be. I’ll always be there for them if they want my advice.”

Gwyneth says her kids have weird accents!

For now, Gwyneth enjoys living a quiet, normal life in London with her family and experiencing the “real” joys of motherhood. “Real life is when your kid is at the table making a joke about their butt and you’re laughing,” she explains, “that’s the best thing about life, that human interaction and connection.”
