TRON: Legacy will blow your mind with its stunning visual effects, gorgeous stars, incredible sound and nail biting, masterfully choreographed fight scenes!
It’s been 24 hours since I saw TRON: Legacy and I still have no words to adequately describe the phenomenal experience I had. Essentially, TRON: Legacy was worth the wait and the hype. New fan or long-time TRONies alike will LOVE this high intensity, gorgeous masterpiece — and here’s why:
The 3D is crystal clear and, as my roommate put it, “a visual feast for the human eye” and I have to agree. The beginning of the film is in 2D, in order to create a contrast to the other world (aka on the Grid).
It’s not just action. In addition to the mind blowing visual and digital effects, TRON: Legacy is chalk full of culturally relevant story lines in regards to open source software and information technology.
Light cycles. If you’re not familiar with the original Tron, let me explain to you the wonder of the light cycle. Essentially, light cycles are motorcycles made out of neon lights and they appear out of sticks that look sort of like light sabers. Confused? Go see the movie. You’ll want one for Christmas…trust me.
Neon cat suits. Everyone, except Jeff Bridges who looks like Obi-Wan Kenobi, is sporting sick body suits that highlight their assets.
Daft Punk. Not only does Daft Punk destroy the score, they also make a cameo when they throw down the best track of the movie during the club scene with Michael Sheen. It’s pretty much the only scene filled with energy, music and comedy mixed with high tension. You’ll love it.
It’s the best action movie of the year because you walk out longing to take a trip to the Grid. It’s sci-fi fantasy at it’s best. TRON: Legacy hits theaters Dec. 17 — and be sure to see it in IMAX 3D if possible!
