Jessica Simpson just can’t win, even when she’s winning.
She beat her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo to getting engaged, but when it comes to the ring, she’s a distant second. Tony, 30, proposed to his 24-year-old fiancee Candice Crawford on Dec. 16 with a ring that our expert says is worth about $475,000 … that’s $225,000 more than the $250,000 Neil Lane sparkler Eric Johnson, 31, gave Jess, 30, on Nov. 11.
Candice’s new bling is a “platinum diamond ring with an 8 carat, radiant cut, fancy yellow diamond with one carat of round diamonds around the center stone,” Aslam Bakshi, owner of Diamond Images USA, Inc. in Miami, Fla. tells HollywoodLife.com. “The center stone is very difficult to find and rare, but it is one of the most popular shapes today.”
Aww! Just when Jessica thought she was going to one-up Tony by getting engaged before he did. So much for that.
