With Oprah in Australia for a series of shows, Steve’s widow and two children were a few of the many guests she trotted out before a frenzied Aussie crowd.
Even though it’s been over four years since Steve Irwin was tragically killed in a diving incident, he’s still very much a part of his family. Steve’s widow, Terri, and her two kids, Bindi, 12, and little Bob, 7, joined Oprah Winfrey on her current sweep through Australia as she shoots a week of shows she’ll be broadcasting early next year. During the interview, it came out that Bob still watches videos of his dad every day, as the little boy said, “it’s so good because it’s like he’s always there.”
That was enough to bring his mom Terri, 46, to tears, as she told Oprah, “I think the best thing about Australia is mate ship. Living with Steve was like standing in a cyclone. Then we lost him. It was like the wind stopped.”
The Irwin trio wore “the family colors,” and the kids wore two giant pythons as neckties. We sense a new fashion trend!
