Jennifer Aniston Finally Beats Angelina Jolie At Something — Which Team Are You On- Jen's or Angie's?

Jen finally catches a break in the comparison sweepstakes. Angelina’s expensive latest film, ‘The Tourist’ was a bombolino at the box office taking in $17 million versus Jen’s inexpensively produced ‘The Bounty Hunter’ which at $21 mil looks like a big hit in comparison!

The much anticipated combo of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in The Tourist did not in fact make for the big box office bucks many had predicted. According to our sister site Deadline, Angie and Johnny could only eek out $17 million at the weekend office, or, to put in another way, $3.5 million less than Jen made when The Bounty Hunter opened last March!

Now while $3.5 million may not seem like such a big difference you have to take into account that Jen’s filmed opened in March, one of the slower months for box office, while Angie’s film opened during the very popular, and often lucrative, holiday season.

There’s more too. The budget for The Tourist was a pricey $100 million, not including marketing campaigns and ads, as opposed to The Bounty Hunter which was acomparatively frugal $40 million. With a total international take of just over $136 million, Jen was actually a great investment for the studio.

Angie may have got her man, but Jen could still steal Angie’s box office crown! Which actress do you like better on the big screen?

What is so funny about this whole comparison thing Angelina’s worst have been nominated for a Golden Globe award! Bet you Bonnie you and your Angie haters never thought that was going to happen!

So cold water has been thrown on your silly premise. Angelina who is already an Oscar winnner has been nominated again no such thing is ever going to happen for Jennifer Aniston. Her movies are not only bad her acting is terrible.

Angelina finds her Golden Globe Nomination for the “Tourist” as laughable As We Do…. Socialite Life. It’s been reported every where that the press at Golden Globes covering the event broke out in laughter when the nominations for Angelina/Depp and the Tourist were announced. The Hollywood Reporter, E online, The New York, Access Hollywood etc have all commented how laughable the nominations were. How does a thriller with a 20% fresh rating (i.e. one of the worst – reviewed films of the year) on rotten tomatoes get nominated for the Best Motion Picture – Comedy? The cold water has been thrown at Angelina being an Oscar winner for being a psycho means nothing to the World.

Don’t be so quick with admiration for Angelina’s “charity work” as this is how the wealthy keep their money. It’s called a tax write-off and you would be stunned at how much of their money they rich get to keep by doing this sort of thing. If Angie and Brad truly wanted to be charitable, don’t publically give and have their picture taken while doing it so the whole world can tell them how wonderful they are. Go to the Appalachian Mountains where the people have a hard time spelling the word “school” let alone attending one, where they’re not sure what a doctor/dentist is. You say “electricity” and “running water” and the people ask you to explain what you are talking about. But if that won’t do, since Angie hates Thanksgiving so much why not go to an Indian reservation? See the movie “Thunderheart;” it was shot near/on the Pine Ridge Reservation and was based on what happened at in the early 1970s. Or go somewhere even less well known and more remote. Believe it or not, you can actually find places like that right here in the good old USA. Go where there are no cameras, where nobody knows you, and where no one will ever find out what they did and give. That’s true charity.

As for Jennifer, she was the wife who was cheated on. She doesn’t have to stop anything.

On the other hand, karma is a bitch and Brad and Angie are going to find out the hard way that what somebody does with you they will do to you – and they deserve every bit of payback they get.

i don’t think the screen presence of these two can be compared. i like them both, but neither really has any range as of yet. angie is great at action flicks, so if you’re into that, good- plus, she’s so damn fascinating to look at, that helps. jenn is good at these stupid romcoms- again, if you’re in the mood, fine, she’s good. she’s “cute” as joan said, but she ain’t no angie in the looks department… not many are.

Jenni and Angelina are totally different kinds of women who play opposite kinds of roles in Hollywood. Angelina couldn’t play Jen’s roles, she cant do comedy at all, and comedy is HARD. Much harder than squinting your eyes and pouting your lips, that’s for sure. Funny thing! Some people knocks Jen’s talent but she makes a lot of money being a bad actor, who cares how the money gets into the bank just so it gets there. Are you jeolous? In the end it’s all subjective and nobody on this forum is going home with Angelina neither Jenni. Jenni looks so sexy though she is the type one would like to bring home to mama. That is why she fits in romantic comedy, she is non threatening but Angelina is one you would sneak in at night without mama knowing it.

lol… love the comment about sneaking angie in at night! yah, mama wouldn’t like ange. i think in all fairness though, you should give angie some credit for what she does. i don’t think she’s got a lot of range in her acting (nor jenn), but angie is very good at action flicks and i don’t think it’s as simple as one might think. she has to look pretty and do karate kicks and such, you know— it’s also a skill. but neither of them are meryl streep, nor will they EVER be even if they improve a million fold… not meryl, not sally, etc. they haven’t shown much of an ability to capture raw and real emotion.

Salt made $118,311,368 (domestic) and $175,190,850 (foreign) for Worldwide total of: $293,502,218.

The Switch made $27,779,426 (domestic) and $19,071,726 or a total of $46,851,152 (worldwide). Every mailroom boy in Hollywood knows Switch cost at least $40 mil to make because the union fees in NY are set in stone. Add in the marketing costs and they LOST money on Hasbeen Aniston, as they do on ALL of her films. The biggest loser was Management, which made LESS THAN ONE MIL DOMESTICALLY: $934,658 (domestic) and $1,371,738 (foreign) = Worldwide: $2,306,396.

Stop trying to pass Granny Aniston off as a movie star. She USED to be a tv star. Now she’s just a lonely, bitter, BARREN old woman with sawdust in her vag*na. Jennifer Aniston is an okay actress, and with the exception of The Good Girl, you have to admit that she does play the same role reminiscent of her most successful role, Rachel on Friends. Angelina may not do comedy, but she does everything else, from drama (A Mighty Heart, Changeling) to action (Wanted, Salt) to crazy (Girl Interrupted –for which she won an Oscar, Gia). But then again, she just got nominated for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy category for the Golden Globes, so she may just do comedy, too.

Aniston rules, she’s funny AND has showed us how talented she is in the good girl. on the other hand how long can jolie keep up the sexy spy thing? sometimes she looks downright terrible without makeup and photoshopping. she’s so completely overrated, she is NOT the best action star (that goes to milla) she’s not even that beautiful (mal from inception was the only beautiful woman i’ve seen in movies recently) and she’s not a great actress (her pretending to be a mother in changeling was disappointing and not believable, that’s why it bombed because the woman isn’t even believable as a real mom!)

Yes, Jen is a great investment for the studio and she’s the better actress as well. Jolie is a one trick pony, only successes in Action films, in fact only 3, first Lara Croft, MAMS and Wanted. Salt is not yet profitable given that it cost $100M to make and astronomical marketing given they had to pay huge sums for Jolie and all her nannies and security to trek to Russia, Korea, Japan etc for premieres. Look Salt will be profitable when it sells some DVD’s however Jolie is now not even dominating Action because Milla Jovavich in Res Evil just beat her butt. Res Evil took in just $3M less worldwide. $293 vs $290. and with lower budget like Jen’s movies, Milla has already made $50M in profit before selling one dvd. The media and Jolie’s loonish fans have propped this woman up undeservedly and it’s about time she was taken down a few pegs.

salt opened ON IT’S OWN during it’s opening weekend and opened in japan, china, russia (basically everywhere lol) and it’s reviews weren’t even that great! The switch opened with a whole lotta new releases (i admit there were some pretty exciting stuff there) and the reviews for it were good-very good. Salt was the typical action, explosion type thing so it didn’t surprise that it did well, what IS good is that “the switch” competing with all that cgi-type, whatever movies held on well and made a profit. to luis OF COARSE they promoted the movie with a fake romance (it was probably studio ordered) but jolie and depp did there fair share of promotion themselves (by constantly talking about how “great” and talented the other was in interviews.) funny because to me it seems that they don’t even like each other at all lol, there’s basically ZERO chemistry between them in the movie
