Is the Oscar winner recording a duet with her son David? They spent the day at a recording studio together.

There’s nothing quite like introducing your son to the family business. Just ask Jennifer Hudson, who brought her little 16-month-old son David Otunga Jr. (dad, and Jennifer’s fiancé, is WWE wrestler David Otunga) along with her to a recording session in Burbank, CA. The little one stuck by mom’s side as she continued work on her new album, her first since her self-titled 2008 debut. But, we think he’s a tad too young to be going to work already. What do you think HollyMoms? As much as the Oscar winner’s (for the 2006 hit, Dreamgirls) singing talents has put her front and center, it’s been her newly svelte post-baby figure that has us all talking.

Read about how Jennifer is moving back to her home town of Chicago!

“I don’t want to lose any more weight, and you’re never going to see me skinny,” the 29-year-old said last year after shrinking from a size 16 to a size 6 on Weight Watchers. “I think this is a good, natural size for me. It’s not a diet, it’s really a way of living that teaches you better skills. For years I felt like I could never have ice cream, but I can eat ice cream occasionally now!” It’s always refreshing to read about a star who actually admits to eating something other than lettuce!

Jennifer, who is already talking about having another baby, will be showing off that amazing figure on New Year’s Eve, when she performs from Los Angeles on the annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special, with Ryan Seacrest. We’re going to tune in! Are you?
