Happy Birthday, Jennifer Connelly! You're 40 Today, December 12!

The gorgeous Academy Award winning actress is celebrating a milestone birthday today! She’s turning 40, but doesn’t look at day past 30!

Jennifer Connelly made her big break in Requiem For A Dream, but truly impressed everyone with her role as Russell Crowe‘s wife in A Beautiful Mind, for which she took home an Oscar and Golden Globe award. Since then the stunning actress has appeared in films like Little Children and Blood Diamond and will soon be starring alongside Vince Vaughn in The Dilemma. She is married to actor Paul Bettany and has two sons Kai, 13, with former partner David Dugan and Stellan, 7, with Paul.

Although she can be tough at times, Jennifer is a pretty relaxed mommy, admitting to Jimmy Kimmel in October that she lets her sons curse — behind closed doors of course! “I don’t think I’m particularly strict,” Jennifer says of motherhood. “I think some things I have strong opinions about. I’m very against rudeness. I believe in manners. I believe in discipline, but other things that people are very uptight about I’m not uptight about, like cursing. Cursing I’m not uptight about. But I make it clear that this is surprising to other people, other grownups. Like don’t go to school and say, ‘Teacher, pass me a f******* pencil!’” Who knew Jennifer was so relaxed!
