Her boyfriend is the son of son Oscar winner. Here’s the tragic details.

Beautiful swimsuit designer Sylvie Cachay, 33, was found dead Dec. 9 at her NY Soho House hotel room. Responding to reports of water leaking from Sylvie’s room, a hotel employee discovered Sylvie half-clothed in an overflowing bathtub and police were immediately called to the scene. Sadly, Sylvie couldn’t be revived and police picked up her boyfriend Nicholas Brooks – the son of Oscar-winning composer Joseph Brooks, who was indicted earlier this year on 82 counts of sexual assault — for questioning.

Sylvie’s wounds suggested a struggle — she had marks on her neck, she was bleeding from her eyes and had a bite mark on her hand — according to police.

Just hours before Sylvie’s body was found, sources say she got into a fight with her boyfriend Nick, whom she was rumored to have dumped the day before, in her West Village apartment.

“I heard them fighting and he yelled, ‘You really hurt me,'” Sylvie’s downstairs neighbor Judy told police. “I heard her crying and him stomping around. Then I heard a loud crash in her apartment like someone was thrown on the floor. Minutes later, I could hear her whimpering.”

At 12:30 a.m., Sylvie and Nick checked into the Soho House after Sylvie reportedly claimed he set her apartment on fire. After the two were escorted to their room, the clerk said she heard them fighting again and everything went suddenly silent in the room. Video tapes caught Nick leaving the room multiple times, but he stayed inside between 1:45 and 2:16 a.m. A bottle of Xanax was found in the room.

Nick left shortly after to have a drink with some friends — five minutes before the complaints of Sylvie’s room leaking. At 3:30 a.m., Nick returned to find the room swarmed with police. He was escorted away by police for questioning.

Sylvie was declared dead at the scene. A coroner’s report has yet to be released.
