Joe Jonas has never been afraid to mix up his look to keep up with the latest trends. The 21-year-old singer’s hairstyle has evolved a lot since he broke out as a teen pop-sensation. Throughout the years we’ve seen curly-haired Joe, flat-iron Joe, and now rocker Joe. His new look is older and more mature than his early boy-band persona — and we’re totally digging it!

This look may be his way of breaking away from the Jonas Brothers and establishing himself as a solo artist. Joe was recently inspired by electric dance beats when he was touring in Europe and has been working with Frankmusik, a British electropop artist, on his new album. We think that he may have influenced Joe’s new look.

“He’s awesome. We’ve gone through couple of different sounds,” Joe told In Style about Frankmusick. He also told reporters that he changed his original plans for the album, “I began writing it with a Michael Bublé mentality, but now I’m switching gears a bit.”
