Doug may be known for causing fights between starlets, but now he’s gearing up for a fight of his own — for charity!
Doug Reinhardt, 25, is stepping into the boxing ring Dec. 10 for the “Fight for Humanity” gala benefiting the Somaly Mam Foundation which works to eradicate human trafficking. As a former baseball player, Doug took his training very seriously.
“Since I was an ex-athlete, it was fun to get back in shape,” he tells HollywoodLife.com. “I’m in the gym two times a day, six times a week, running hills, fighting, weights, treadmills, everything you can imagine. I’m doing this soley for the foundation.”
Doug, who just returned from successfully climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, is no stranger to lending his time for good cause. In fact, he met girlfriend Cassie Scerbo a few months ago at charity event in Hollywood!
“We actually co-hosted a Locks For Love event and ever since then we just hit it off,” he gushed. “Things are going well. She is really down to earth and fun, and she is a hard worker. She is supporting what I need to do.”
After hanging up his boxing gloves, the former Hills heartthrob is planning to return to TV in a new reality show for E! with his sister Casey titled The Reinhardts: Family Comes First, and he’s also producing a show for A&E called Waitresses of Philly.
