It’s been confirmed the legendary 68-year-old singer is fighting for her life after being diagnosed with potentially terminal pancreatic cancer
This is devastating news. Aretha Franklin has reportedly been given a year to live, according to The National Enquirer. The tabloid claims the 68-year-old singer has sadly been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer.
A source also confirmed to the Detroit press the “R-E-S-P-E-C-T” song bird is indeed struggling with cancer, although the insider failed to specify what kind.
Aretha underwent a secret procedure Dec. 2, the day after her hometown of Detroit held a candle light vigil in her honor. The singer released a statement saying, “All prayers are good.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with Aretha and her family during this time.

GOD BLESS HER <3 I sincerely wish the absolute best for her as Pancreatic Cancer is a very difficult cancer to beat. I lost my grandfather a year ago to it. He was discovered at stage five and died 3 weeks to the day of his diagnosis. It's so terrible to watch a loved one go through and I really hope and pray for her that she is in an early enough stage to recover. I really do. God bless her.
