Classless and shameless as ever, the woman who had an affair — and a lovechild — with John Edwards is telling people she thinks she and the ex-Senator will ‘get married.’
It’s only been one day since Elizabeth Edwards passed, but John Edwards‘ mistress and mother of his child, Rielle Hunter, is already reportedly running her mouth about getting to “finally” marry John.
“Rielle has been very patient through all of this,” a source told RadarOnline. “She still believes that John is her soul mate, and she thinks that they’re going to get married.”
We can only imagine how an assumption like this will upset Elizabeth’s friends and family. The 61-year-old inspiration died Dec. 7 after struggling six years with cancer, in addition to dealing with her husband’s infidelity and the child he had with Rielle.
“She doesn’t care about anyone but herself. She’s been selfish and horrible this whole time, no matter what else has been said about her,” the source said about Rielle.

I always find it interesting how the “other woman” is made the villian in the minds of people, while the man is portrayed as a naughty little boy who couldn’t help himself and the wife is the shining paragon of all that is good. I seriously doubt that the reality is as simple as that. The biggest mistake that JE made was creating elaborate lies to cover up his infidelity. THAT is so much more classless than admitting the truth, as his mistress did. If JE wanted to save his political career, he should have faced the consequences of what he did and told the truth. He betrayed his dying wife. It was cruel to do so, but things like this happen every day. Every day. There are no villians or victims here.
