Exclusive! 'Make It Or Break It' Star Chelsea Hobbs Is Pregnant!

It’s safe to say Make It or Break It star Chelsea Hobbs will be steering clear of the balance beam when ABC Family’s gymnastics drama returns this spring.

A rep for the 25-year-old actress confirms exclusively to HollyBaby.com that Chelsea Hobbs is expecting her second child with photographer husband Teren Oddo this spring.

According to a Make It or Break It source, producers learned of Chelsea’s pregnancy during production of the second half the show’s 20-episode second season (slated to premiere in the spring) and tweaked the story accordingly. It’s unclear whether one of those tweaks included making Hobbs’ character, teen Olympian Emily Kmetko, pregnant as well.

Should the show opt to write the pregnancy in? It won’t be the first ABC Family show to tackle such a delicate—yet relevant—issue. The Secret Life of the American Teenager, which hit the airwaves in 2008 and is now one of the network’s most popular programs, tells the story of 15-year-old Amy, a good student who becomes pregnant the first time she has sex.

Hobbs and Oddo, who have been married since 2004, already have a young daughter named Wylie.

Stay tuned to see whether Hobbs’ character Emily starts sporting a baby bump…

I think Emily Should come back becuz without her the show is dull and uninteresting . She was my favorite character and still is. It would bring suspense and a lot of interesting stuff is Emily returns with a real baby bump . I’m positive that the show will be great with Emily in it

I totally agree wit you it would be super great if that happened!!!!!!!!!i love Emily !!!!!!!but I still not sure whether to trust Damon becuz after all he kissed kaylie!!!!!!!!!!but I want them to be together so much but I also want Emily to be with Leo!!!!!!

Honestly i realy luv d show..Emily getting pregnant in d show according to the story its okay..One ccan been having sex all the time and she wount get pregnant depends on how well she protects herself.for Emily she violated the rules of teenage sex.but i realy want her back in the show..pls pls producer and the story writer bring her back.

I think that emily should have had an abortion and keep doing jymnastics , and lauren should hav e got pregnet and her step mom should go and marry sasha and payson should get the bysexual boy, and kaylee gets the other boy , and emily m arries damen

This show has touched my heart in so many ways…Payson made her return to a sport she loves, and I’m going through rehab on my knee right now so that I can get back to football. But back to the main topic; I do NOT think that they should make Emily’s character pregnant. It is a relevant topic, but it’s different for a gymnast. I believe Emily should have had the abortion.

First of all you, guys need to learn how to spell or at least abbreviate. “d” is not an abbreviation for “the” & skipping the “c” in words like “back” makes you sound really stupid . Also, Molly, no one is going to stop watching an awesome show because you have a celebrity crush on Emily, who sucks… a lot.

First of all, while I agree with the abbreviations, your opinion is that she sucks. People have a right to disagree. Second, people, she got pregnant in real life. She is not going to abort her baby to stay on a show. That would be beyond idiotic. So she cannot stay. It’s just not possible.

Damon should ask Emily to marry him and they move back to boulder and just before Emily is about to give birth Damon has to decide between Emily and their child, and his career.
Once Emily has the baby she should try and get back into ggymnastics and she makes Payson the Godmother becuase she has always believed in her and sasha doesnt want her back.

If you do write the pregnancy in, the babies daddy should be Damon. They should show each other they really do love each other and in a hot moment they give themselves away to on another. That would make the show more romantic, more drama. I think they have to stay together though. That way they take care of the baby together and it can be a good example or take care of your responsiblities. Also I think it should be Damon because we don’t want to make Emily look like a slut. We want to keep them looking good through this show. They are tracing their dreams and working hard. the show will be about teens tracing their dreams and struggling as a teen parent. I think it will be great. I just don’t think we should make any of the girls look bad other then Lauren because she already has that bad image no other girl needs it. Plus Emily and Damon have came from hard lives in the show she they can pull together and make it with a child.

I think Emily should continue gymnastics. Emily’s character does not seem like the type to get pregnant when she isn’t even married yet. They should say something happened to her, like family business or an injury. Then, when she gives birth, she should come back, good as new.

Emily shouldnt not have a baby.. They should later come out in season 3 that it was a mix up. That baby messed up the show and the cute relasionship between damon and emily. Just saying

i also just wanted to say that instead of making emily just have one bad luck after another, something should happen to lauren, she deserves it especially since she seems to have sex on just about every show!!! :( i also hate it that they are making a 20 – something year old play a 17 year old!!! i mean i get it that she looks really young but still – its just stupid… i am almost giving up on ABC Famiy, except for “Switched at Birth”. thats a reeeeeeaaaaalllllllllyyyy good show!!!!! :):):):)
