Once again the singer shoots down baby rumors! She says there will be “no babies” for her and Mike Fisher in 2011.
Although everyone assumes that Carrie Underwood has babies on the brain now that she’s a married woman, the country songstress says she and hubby Mike Fisher have no pregnancy plans just yet. “Everybody, like, is on this baby bandwagon, I don’t know what the deal is,” Carrie, 27, tells Us Magazine. “But I would really like to figure out what it’s like to be married first, and I know he [Mike] would too.” Can you relate, HollyMoms?
The couple wed in July and have yet to spend some quality time together, because Carrie is on tour until December 22 and Mike, 30, is busy scoring goals for the Ottawa Senators.
But, even though Carrie and Mike aren’t planning on expanding their family, the singer admits that anything is possible! “Sometimes I know God laughs at your plans, and says, ‘Nope,'” she says. “But it’s definitely not in ours any time soon. So, no babies.” For now, Carrie is excited to spend the holidays with her man at her Nashville home. “I’m lucky enough, I don’t have to choose where we’re going to be spending Christmas because Mike plays the [Nashville] Predators on the 23rd,” says Carrie. “So, lucky girl! I was kind of bracing myself for that fight.”
With their busy and conflicting schedules, Carrie says this Christmas will most likely be celebrated without gifts — there’s no time to shop! “It will be presentless,” she admits, “He also plays on the 26th, so we’ll be on a plane, I think, on Christmas.” Carrie, there are 17 more shopping days left — go out there and get your man a gift!
